Ganesh Laddu Auction...Single Laddu cost is Rs. 5 – 25 lakhs in Hyderabad

Laddu the most preferred sweet of the lord Ganesha would cost any where between Rs. 5 – 25 lakhs in Hyderabad which has normal cost of Rs.5 otherwise. It is wondering to learn why the single Laddu goes for such an exorbitant rate? How come the people purchase the same one which is lakhs times more than its actual price. But that’s true.It is happening for the last few years in Hyderabad during Ganesh festival. Organizers of Ganesh Pandals have unveiled this new trend where in land lords and big wigs of the society come out openly to bid for the same.

Infact it was first unveiled by Balapur , Hyderabad Pandal organizers 15 years back.Now it has spread to many pandals in city comepteting one other for Laddus Auction.One Mr. Sridhar Babu has won the bid for Rs.5 Lakhs 35 Thousands last year (2010).This auction kick starts on the last day of Ganesh immersion before going for Mass procession.This year Laddus auction will happen on 11^th Sept 2011 ..the GANESH IMMERSION day.Let us see who will bid for max this year….
